A little room to be yourself
You don’t have to
hold it all together
here.
If you appear to have it all together on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or disconnected on the inside, you’re not alone.
Many of the people I work with are used to taking care of everyone else, meeting expectations, and pushing through difficult circumstances while quietly struggling themselves.
My practice offers thoughtful, evidence-based treatment for adults with mild-to-moderate mental health concerns. We’ll work together to understand your goals and find an approach that feels collaborative and personal—not one-size-fits-all.

Support for where
you are right now.

Meet your psychiatrist
Hi, I’m
Dr. Natalie Ramsey.
I believe effective treatment begins with a strong therapeutic relationship.
I chose to focus my career on direct patient care. I currently practice within Northwell Health and serve as an Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, working with employees seeking mental health support as well as individuals seeking perinatal mental health support.
In my private practice, I combine thoughtful medication management with CBT, psychodynamic principles, and supportive psychotherapy. I take time to understand your goals and explain your treatment options, so care feels collaborative and personalized.
I completed my undergraduate education at Howard University, my MD/PhD training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by psychiatry residency at Columbia University and a fellowship in Women's and Reproductive Mental Health, also at Columbia.

Your free 15-minute introductory call is a chance to ask questions, discuss fees, and review whether the practice may be a good fit for your needs.
◎
Share your whole picture.
At your first clinical visit, we’ll discuss what brings you to care, your mental health history, symptoms, goals, and treatment concerns. Ongoing-care intakes are 60 minutes; single consultations and second opinions are 90 minutes.
↗
Build a plan together.
We’ll consider treatment options, including medication if appropriate, and discuss a plan that fits your goals. If a different approach or higher level of care would better meet your needs, we’ll talk about that openly.
